Coal handling system

Coal handling is generally providing coal (or other solid fuel) to industrial furnaces. Coal handling system of a power plant consists of a set of devices and auxiliary equipment to take coal from external transportation, to mechanise coal storage areas, perform initial coal preparation (sorting, crushing, mixing, averaging) and to transport it to containers close to combustors. 

In general, coal handling system is composed of:
- coal unloading devices 
- coal storages 
- coal mine transportation and unloading / loading devices 
- containers close to combustors
- auxiliary equipment (scales, crushers, etc.)

We provide primary equipment for coal handling systems, e.g. :

Many factors influence the choice of coal handling system and devices that make up this system, e.g. plant power output and character of its load, plant location (distance from coal mine and households), type of fuel, investment and operating costs, service work safety and operational reliability. Therefore, particular coal handling systems may differ significantly from each other.

Coal handling devices are to ensure regular fuel supply to boiler furnaces, when coal is provided periodically. To ensure constant operation, operation of carburizing systems must be reliable. 
Coal handling system is characterised by efficiency of unloading devices, capacity of storage area, conveyor line efficiency and reserves of unloading and conveyor devices. In big plants, it is usually required to ensure 100% reserves in unloading and conveyor devices.

Coal handling and ash disposal departments in power plants and series conveyor systems in other industry branches are typical types of systems, in which conveyor lines are main technological elements. This is due to the fact that they connect media feeding spots (coal, ash, raw materials) with collection spots (coal storages, collection containers, etc. ). We develop coal handling projects based on combined conveyor systems, e.g. belt conveyor (belt feeder), chain conveyor (chain feeder), worm (worm feeder) and vibration (vibration feeder). They altogether constitute a process line beginning with fuel unloading and storing, transport to containers close to combustors, and finally to coal preparation and dosing system that goes to furnace chamber of the boiler.

We develop coal handling systems from storage areas to containers near combustors, i.e. from the concept stage, design, manufacturing, assembly and start-up. We offer warranty service as well as post-warranty service for our devices.

Coal handling systems provided by our company have complete equipment necessary for proper and stable operation and comply with the requirement of a failure-free operation.  

We also provide mill waste conveyor systems for fuel preparation systems in coal pulverisers.
