Worm conveyors

Worm conveyors (feeders) will help you to solve out the problem of dry goods and dusty material handling. Worm conveyors are used mainly in construction material manufacturing, food processing and energy branches. Modern technical solutions implemented make it possible to move material in long distances and with large angles. To ensure our conveyors comply with all European Union regulations related to food processing, we build these conveyors also from stainless steel. 

Trough worm conveyors 

Trough worm conveyors are used to transport bulk material when granulation does not exceed 150 mm. It is not recommended to convey highly grinding material (e.g. quartz or pyrite) or material that stick to worms or troughs and then harden quickly. Material may be transported horizontally or with max 20^o angle.

Material in the conveyor is moved with the use of a worm that turns around in the trough.

NOTE!
Upon our client's special request, the frame of the conveyor may have tubular construction with access openings for supporting bearings. This solution guarantees higher tightness during conveying and allows to increase the angle. The conveyor may be also equipped with double trough which makes it possible to heat or cool the material.  

Worm conveyor is composed of the following components: drive, initial bearing, middle bearing, worms, troughs, covers, final bearing. 

Tube worm conveyors 

This type of conveyor is a crew conveyor (worm feeder) with tubular body for operation with high angles. Lack of middle bearings makes it possible to transport material with increased grindability. Shape and inclination of the loading and unloading spots are prepared in accordance with individual needs.
