Bearing housings

Bearing housings together with appropriate bearings form bearing systems, whose usefulness has  been proven in various machines and devices.

Bearing housings are usually made of grey cast iron, but housings of cast steel or spheroidal cast iron are also available.

Housings have no grease holes because bearings in housings are usually greased when assembled and this grease allows the bearing to operate for long time. Housings have special spots where such holes may be drilled upon client's request.

Seats in housings are of such dimensions so that bearings fit loosely, which allows the bearing to move axis-wise, as required in case of floating bearing.

To fix the bearing axis-wise it is necessary to use fxing rings. Housings without rings are supplied customized to mount fixing bearing.

We may also offer stand-up bearing housings of 'SN' type, 'TNN, TNP' type, tin housings, housings for spherical bearings, cast iron bearing housings acc. to PTS-1 ZREMB catalogue, open bearing housings acc. to drawing T-09100-P, closed bearing housings acc. to drawing T-09200-P.

FAG bearing housings

FAG bearing housings with a proper bearing form bearing systems, whose usefulness has been proven in many devices and machines. We are presenting only a fraction of whole type and size range of housings produced by FAG. Please contact us if you need other housings.

Bearing housings manufactured by FAG are usually made of of grey cast iron, but housings of cast steel or spheroidal cast iron are also available upon request. 

Housings have no grease holes because bearings in housings are usually greased when assembled and this grease allows the bearing to operate for long time. It is possible to order disks that regulate amount of grease: RSV2, RSV3, RSV5, RSV6. Greasing holes are performed upon request.

Seats in housings are of such dimensions so that bearings fit loosely, which allows the bearing to move axis-wise, as required in case of floating bearing.

To fix the bearing axis-wise it is necessary to use fixing rings marked with FRM symbol. Those rings must be ordered separately. Housings without fixing rings are supplied customized to mount floating bearing (symbol L) or locating bearing (symbol F).

Depending on operation conditions, the following seals for housings are available:

contact seals
•    double lip (DH)
•    felt seal (FSV)

non-contact seals
•    labyrinth seals (TSV)

mixed seal
•    labyrinth + contact seal (TACONITE) – TCV.
